WHO WE ARE

The Governmental Relations(GR) Committee supervises the communication between PSG and federal, state, and local governments and officials. They are responsible for supervising the voting and voter registration efforts of PSG and creating a more politically knowledgeable Student Body. The committee will work with the President Pro-Tempore and the Student Senate to aid their efforts to gather and research governmental issues, and to advise on legislation pertaining to the Student Senate's support or opposition of governmental action. Governmental Relations lobby for local, state, or federal legislation if and only if the Purdue Student Government Student Senate approves of the effort through the passing of a resolution. The committee will plan the annual Purdue Day at the Statehouse with help from the Senior Policy Advisor as well as other members of the Cabinet.
