About Us

 Who are we?

Founded in 1907, Purdue Student Government serves as the primary representative organization of the undergraduate student body. Our goal is to advocate for student needs and to be the connection between students, administration, and local government authorities. We are dedicated to leading with compassion and to magnifying the voices of all Boilermakers.

What do we do?

As Boilermakers navigate an increasingly complex world, there is no denying the need for student representation and advocacy. Our mission is to enhance the student experience through policy change, campus-wide initiatives, and promoting resources. We are committed to providing students with tangible results and meaningful change at Purdue.

Judical Branch

What are we?

The Judicial Branch is where the Purdue Student Supreme Court(PSSC) resides. PSSC is comprised of nine undergraduate justices with one serving as the Chief Justice and the remaining eight serving under the title of Associate Justice. Clerks of the Court also serve on PSSC and are appointed as needed by the Chief Justice.

The PSSC adjudicates matters pertaining to the Purdue Student Government Constitution, Bylaws, and Standing Rules. The PSSC also serves as the final appeal court for the Purdue Parking Violations.

Executive Branch

What are we?

The Executive Branch consists of two components, the Cabinet and the Board of Directors.

The Cabinet is the executive administrative body of our student government. Its role is to direct all executive aspects of the organization and is responsible for carrying out daily affairs.

The Board of Directors consists of nine Executive Committees who assist the Student Body President with internal operations and fulfilling initiatives.

Legislative Branch

What are we?

The Legislative Branch is home to the Purdue Student Senate. Three senators are elected in the Spring of each academic year to represent their respective colleges.

The Student Senate works on researching policies and writing legislation that affects the student body. Legislation is then brought before the floor and voted on by Senate members representing their respective academic colleges. Senators act as the liaison between their colleges and Purdue Student Government in order to ensure that the voice of each Purdue student is heard.
